Full Story

The Major Project will  explore Dramatherapist's experiences of their neurodiversity and the impact of their diagnose on attunement and containment to more accurely reflect the diversity of practice and lived experience within the field.

Neurodivergent Dramatherapists remain an underrepresented group within the current dramatherapy literature and discourse, a research gap which remains at odds with the higher proportion of self-reported 'Neurodivergent' trainees who enter dramatherapy courses each year. With an increase in self-identification similarly witnessed across the wider arts therapies communities there is a growing need for representative authorship to amplify the voices of these practitioners and strengthen evidence based practice.

Participants are invited to which should take 5-10 minutes to complete.

This will assess participant eligibility for Interview. Given the time-limited nature of the Major Project, a small sample of 4 participants will be selected for interview. However the data generated from the questionaire will be used to situate the study and support trasparency of recruitment.

Participants will be invited to choose to attend either an online interview or an in-person interview in their area. This interview will last for 50 minutes, and involve a short arts based activity at the end.

Ethical approval has been granted by Anglia Ruskin University, Ethics no. ETH2526-0696 supervised by Dr Lisa Peacock.
