If you’re passionate about using creativity to support mental health and wellbeing, a career in Dramatherapy could be for you. In the UK, there are currently five postgraduate training courses that lead to professional qualification:
- Approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Accredited by the British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth)
- Recognised by the Department of Health
These courses are delivered at Master’s degree level and provide the essential training required for HCPC registration and professional practice.
Full Membership Pathway
To become a full BADth member, you must:
- Successfully complete an HCPC-approved and BADth-accredited course
- Hold HCPC registration
International graduates may be able to apply for accreditation through HCPC assessment, which BADth will then ratify.
BADth Membership Options
- Associate Membership: For those working as dramatherapy support workers or assistants prior to qualification.
- Student Membership: Available while you are enrolled in an accredited course.
- Full Membership: Once qualified, with additional support for newly qualified dramatherapists.
