“Once upon a time… and then came the screens” An exploration of how storytelling within dramatherapy aids imagination in a world where video games hinder imaginations.
Hello, I’m Rachel and am reaching the end of my training as a dramatherapist at Anglia Ruskin University. As the end of the course approaches, I am completing my Major Project and am seeking dramatherapists who have at least 10 years of experience working in a clinical context with primary aged children to participate in an hour long semi-structured interview.
The research focuses on how storytelling can us used within dramatherapy with primary school aged children to promote imagination with the development of technology and in particular video games. Following interviews, data will be collected in a thematic analysis and collated into the research paper.
Ethical approval has been obtained for this research by ARU, Ethics no. ETH2526-0703.
Interviews will take place early March and will be conducted online unless agreeing a suitable location in person to suit us both.
