I am wishing to invite qualified Dramatherapists to take part in a research study exploring the value of storytelling and role-play in paediatric palliative care.

This project aims to deepen understanding of how these creative tools can support the emotional wellbeing, autonomy, and resilience of children living with chronic or life-limiting conditions. By gathering insight from practitioners experienced in using storytelling and role-play with this client group, the study hopes to highlight the therapeutic, relational, and practical value of these approaches in palliative care environments and their limitations.

Who I am looking for:
Qualified dramatherapists with experience using storytelling and/or role-play in paediatric palliative care (past of present experience)

What participation involves:
- A single virtual focus group (45 minutes)
- Semi-structured questions, with a supportive and reflective atmosphere
- Participants may withdraw their data up until February
- All data will be pseudonymised and stored in line with HCPC regulations

As this topic may touch on sensitive experiences, attention will be paid to psychological safety throughout. Participants will be offered breaks at any time and provided with signposting information for additional support if required.

Participation will help contribute to a growing evidence base for creative, compassionate, and low-cost therapeutic interventions within paediatric palliative care. Insights gathered may help shape future best practice and strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration between arts therapists and healthcare teams.

If you know any other practitioners who may be interested and suitable, I would be grateful if you could share this invitation with them. I am very happy to provide further information or answer any questions. Please find a poster attached with the relevant information on.
