Full Story

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ ר AHP programme team are setting up a ‘National AHP Learners Council’.

The AHP learners’ councils’ purpose will be to bring together Allied Health Profession pre-registration learners who are at various points within their learning programme and from across the fifteen AHP professions. Members will be asked to review and advise on projects and plans in the support of learners nationally and their individual profession. ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ ר will use the group to gain insight into learners’ views and perspectives and consider their views when making decisions relevant to delivery of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ ר initiatives. By utilising their views and ideas through collective leadership principles, the council will be able to inform/advise ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ ר on a range of subject matters from a learner perspective.

They have received 108 expressions of interest across 9 professions, but no interest from dramatherapists yet (ideally they are looking for two learners from each profession to join). So please do consider joining and representing our profession.

The first meeting is provisionally planned for 29th January 2026 at 6.00pm for one hour. The closing date for the expression of interest is 11.59pm on the 9th of December 2025. Learners can find out more and express their interest to Paul at paul.chapman27@nhs.net.

Please see the poster attached for more information.
