We are sharing a research opportunity on behalf of Beth Hargrave, an MA Dramatherapy student at Anglia Ruskin University, who is seeking participants for her major project.

The study, titled "Crossed Wires: Dramatherapist perspectives on supporting the Double Empathy Problem in autistic–allistic adolescent groups," explores how reflexive, autism-affirming practice can support mutual understanding across neurotypes.

Are you a qualified dramatherapist? We are looking for members to take part in a 1:1 research interview who meet the following criteria:

  • Experience facilitating mixed-gender groups of autistic and allistic adolescents with low support needs.

  • A basic understanding of the Double Empathy Problem (Milton, 2012).

  • Dramatherapists of all neurotypes are very welcome to participate.

Interview Details:

  • When: February or early March 2026.

  • Duration: Approximately 60 minutes.

  • Format: Online or in person (please note there is no travel reimbursement).
